Growing up surrounded by strong women who appreciated the beauty of well-made jewelry, Valentina Andreucci was inspired to pursue her passion for accessories by creating the stunning, semiprecious jewelry brand, Valentina Castro. As a way to pay homage to her Brazilian heritage, Valentina uses her grandparent’s surname of Castro; this entire venture is very personal for the multi-cultural designer.
After spending her youth in Salvador, Brazil and Rome, Italy with her Brazilian mother and Italian father, Valentina moved to London where she has spent the last 12 years. Her connection to each of these various cultures are what inspires the designs she creates today. From the vibrancy of Italian art and history, to the captivating confidence of women in Brazil, and the unconventional style of London, each place contributes a unique and important aspect to the jewelry at Valentina Castro.
This collection of high-quality jewelry is completely one-of-a-kind. The pieces are designed by Valentina, and then handcrafted by a small, family-run manufacturer in Brazil. Only the very best materials are used, including semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, zirconias, baroque pearls, among others.
Everything created is made with love and given the most thorough attention to detail. As a young girl, Valentina was taught a valuable lesson that has stuck with her and been an inspiration to start her own jewelry brand; when you feel down and can’t even look yourself in the mirror, the right piece of jewelry can give you that needed boost of self-esteem to face the day with newfound confidence.
